MR-M series miniature linear guide
Two-row ball technology in a compact, narrow carriage. Configure mounting, size, block, seal, preload and accuracy to build the exact part number — hole pitch is calculated for you.
Frequently asked questions
One answer for each configuration option, in the order you'll meet them.
Standard vs threaded
Standard uses counterbored holes — the rail is fastened with screws that pass through the rail into the mounting surface. Threaded uses tapped holes from the bottom, to bolt the rail from its underside when there's no access from above. Threaded adds "U" to the code.
Which size should I choose?
The number indicates the width/size of the rail (2 to 15). A larger size carries more load and moment but takes up more space. All MR-M sizes share the same two-row ball technology.
N vs L
N is the standard-length block; L is a longer block that holds more balls, raising dynamic and static load capacity and rigidity, with the same rail width. Choose L when you need more capacity without moving up a size.
ZU vs ZUE
Both include a front seal, bottom seal, and lubrication pad for long-lasting lubrication. ZUE also adds a stainless steel reinforcement plate at the ends, which increases cap rigidity and improves wiping/cleaning — recommended in environments with more contamination or metal chips.
How many blocks per rail?
Number of blocks mounted on the same rail. More blocks distribute the load and increase the moment capacity of the assembly.
V0 / VS / V1
V0 = clearance, for smooth low-friction motion where maximum rigidity isn't required. VS = transitional preload, a balance between clearance and rigidity. V1 = light preload, removes clearance and increases rigidity and precision, at the cost of slightly more friction.
N / H / P
Defines the height/width tolerances and their variation between blocks on the same rail. N (normal) is the widest tolerance; H (high) is tighter; P (precision) is the tightest, for high-accuracy applications. The higher the grade, the higher the motion precision.
How is the hole pitch calculated?
The length is an integer in mm (minimum 50; maximum 500 for 2M/3M and 1000 for the rest). The starting and ending hole pitch is calculated automatically: it splits the leftover material across both ends to center the hole pattern; if that margin would fall below the minimum, it adds half a pitch so the first/last hole doesn't sit at the edge.
